New discs and pads,
fitted properly.
Axle-set replacement using quality-brand friction material matched to your vehicle. We measure before we quote, so you only pay for what the car actually needs.
Cheap pads are the most expensive thing you can put on a car.
Budget friction material fades under heat, chews through discs and often squeals from the first week. We fit pads and discs from established manufacturers, matched to your car and how you actually drive it. The difference shows up on the first hard stop, and again in how long the set lasts.
Done right, first time
Discs and pads go on in axle pairs so braking stays balanced left to right.
Always Axle Sets
Replacing one side alone gives uneven braking and can pull the car under heavy stops. Both sides of an axle, every time.
Discs Gauged First
Every disc has a minimum thickness figure stamped on it. We measure yours and show you the reading, so it is a fact rather than an opinion.
Hardware Serviced
Slide pins cleaned and re-greased, carriers wire-brushed, shims replaced. Skipping this is exactly why brakes squeal and pads wear unevenly.
Finished to Spec
Wheel nuts torqued to manufacturer figures rather than rattled up with an air gun, and every job road tested before you get the keys back.
Straightforward options, clear pricing
Give us the registration and we will quote the exact parts for your car.
Front Discs & Pads
Front brakes do roughly 70 percent of the stopping, so they wear out first. The usual job on most cars and vans.
- Quality-brand discs and pads
- Hardware cleaned and greased
- Road tested before handover
Rear Discs & Pads
Rear pads on cars with electronic handbrakes often wear faster than owners expect, and the calipers must be wound back electronically.
- Electronic parking brake supported
- Correct wind-back procedure
- System reset and tested
Pad Replacement
If your discs measure well within tolerance and the faces are even, pads alone is the honest answer and the cheaper one.
- Discs measured and reported
- No unnecessary replacement
- Bedding-in advice given
Upgraded Setups
Grooved discs and higher-spec pads for vehicles that tow, carry weight or cover hard miles.
- Suited to towing and vans
- Better fade resistance
- Advice on the right spec
Checked, quoted, then fitted
Nothing starts until you have seen the numbers and agreed the price.
Free Brake Inspection
Wheels off, pads measured in millimetres, discs gauged against the manufacturer minimum. You see the readings.
Itemised Quote
Parts and labour broken down before anything begins. If only one axle needs doing, we tell you that.
Fitted & Serviced
Discs and pads fitted as axle sets, sliders cleaned and greased, everything torqued to specification.
Road Tested
A proper road test for pedal feel and even braking, plus advice on bedding in over the first hundred miles.
Discs and pads, answered
Discs wear down in thickness and can develop a lip or an uneven surface. Every disc has a minimum thickness set by the manufacturer. We measure yours with a gauge and show you the figure against that minimum, so it is a factual decision rather than a sales pitch.
It varies considerably by vehicle, so we quote on the registration. A front axle set on a family hatchback is a very different price to rear discs on a large SUV with an electronic parking brake. Ring us with the reg for a real figure including fitting.
Around two hours for one axle on most vehicles. Seized or badly corroded fittings can add time, and we will tell you before running up the bill.
A little noise in the first few hundred miles while pads bed in is normal. Persistent squealing usually means the hardware was not cleaned and greased at fitting, or very cheap friction material was used. If we fitted them, bring it back and we will sort it.
Yes. Cars with electric parking brakes need the caliper pistons wound back electronically before new pads go in, then the system reset and tested. We have the diagnostic equipment to do that properly.
No. Block Exemption rules mean you can use any competent garage without affecting a manufacturer warranty, provided parts and work meet the right standard. We document everything for your service records.
